The Valley of the Rocks at dust last year. Drove my Granddad down to check out the colours. Beautiful.

A quick drawing of two people that regularly visit the shop. No names but some people might work out who they are.

Mortehoe Point, North Devon.

Walking around Roundswell the other day looked to prove fruitless as far as interesting photos go. We’ve been living here for a few months and its only now that I realize how well positioned our old house used to be. Housing estates are so boring!  In particular, Roundswell seemed to have been designed by somebody drawing on Greek architecture but subsequently building the house with eyes wide shut. They look awful.  After a long walk around the block I put the PEN into Art Mode and did my best with the strong shapes I could find.

J.D. McPherson - North Side Girl. Superb.

Gammon Walk day! All the local shops in Gammon Walk Barnstaple got together with balloons and music to promote the walkways and have some fun. Free pastys, free frozen yoghurt and free Frisbees! Lots of fun was had by all!

The most exciting thing in life is the fact you’ll never run out of things to do
Amy Rodgers

Its the Easter weekend and the shops busy!  During a lull in the footfall Elliot and I had a 50mm Quick Draw.  I was using the new Nikon 50mm f1.8 G lens on a Nikon D5100 while Elliot used his D90 and the old 50mm F1.8 (the loud one).  I’m so impressed with the depth on these shots and we were lucky that the street was busy  with interessting characters.

I’m sure Elliot will post his results on flickr.

With Amy working a double shift yesterday, Mum and I walked down to Crow Point and I tested Olympus’s new 12mm lens. This is a six shot panorama.

Today I took a 12mm PEN lens on the walk home with me.  I’ll be the first to admit that my route home is normally incredibly dull. Most days I just march on though with my head phones in but today I took my time and had a good look at everything.  The lens is so sharp, one of the best micro four thirds lenses on the market with out any doubt. Really impressed.

Using my Slim Black Devil and some expired film to shoot in Westward Ho! the other day. I love the colours that old film produces.
